This car is one of three right-hand-drive Silver Cloud I original Drophead Coupé Adaptations by H.J. Mulliner, making it a most rare and desirable offering. Sir Ken was a great fan of this Rolls-Royce, and for many years during his long career, the car was shipped to wherever he was working, all over the world. Even when he travelled to Hollywood the Silver Cloud I followed him, accompanied by its own driver. It was a common sight in the movie studios' backlots in Hollywood.
Chassis S178PM was delivered to its first owner, an E.J. Dunn of Elmira New York on 27 January 1927. It was fitted with an imposing Brewster town car body, which the chassis carries to this day. The particular style was called St. Stephen and the number of the body was B5057.
A lovely example of what many consider to be the most stylish coachwork built on the 20/25 chassis – the Gurney Nutting three position Drophead Coupe, of Owen design, hence the term ‘Owen Sedanca’. The car is in lovely condition, having undergone restoration work in the early 2000s.

The body is very stylish, solidly put together, with a long, swoopy tail, and is in many ways reminiscent of an original Park Ward bodied 25/30 which we owned about 25 years ago.
