THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE BLACK BADGE STORY DAWNS

THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE BLACK BADGE STORY DAWNS “Black Badge is for those driven by the same restless spirit that propelled company forefather C.S Rolls’ exploration of the limitations of powered land and air travel. It is an alter-ego for our marque that captivates the disrupters, the innovators and those that accept no limitations. Standing as a truly Bespoke response to the desires of a new breed of entrepreneur, Black Badge has already distinctly amplified the characters’ of Ghost and Wraith motor cars, placing them into consciousness of those that seek a commanding presence in the objects they commission. Overwhelming demand from new patrons of luxury tells us the time is now right to apply this assertive, confident and powerful attitude to Dawn and open this truly transformative presence to the world.” Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars At the Geneva…

The Ultimate in Bespoke from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

ROLLS-ROYCE ‘SWEPTAIL’ – THE REALISATION OF ONE CUSTOMER’S COACHBUILT DREAM When, approximately one year ago, Rolls-Royce presented 103EX to the world, it invoked its coachbuilding heritage to inspire its future clientele. This Vision Vehicle envisaged a world of completely personal luxury mobility where new technologies would allow every Rolls-Royce to be designed in their owners’ image, should they wish. Such a Rolls-Royce would represent the truest meaning of luxury – a personal, Bespoke motor car like no other for each individual commissioning patron. The mere idea of a modern coachbuilt Rolls-Royce was not enough for one Rolls-Royce connoisseur however. This individual approached the marque with his own idea of a two-seat Rolls-Royce that he wanted to be created in the here and now. That motor car is here, now and is christened ‘Sweptail’. In a nod to the swept-tail of certain Rolls-Royces from the…

ROLLS-ROYCE UNVEILS BESPOKE COLLECTION FOR KOREA

ROLLS-ROYCE UNVEILS BESPOKE COLLECTION FOR KOREA Rolls-Royce Motor Cars celebrates over a decade of cordial ties with South Korea with the unveiling of a ‘Bespoke Collection for Korea’ at the British Embassy in Seoul. The Bespoke Collection, the first of its kind for the marque in the country, embraces the aesthetic heritage of South Korea with a contemporary flare true to the sophistication and dynamism of the country’s largest cities of Seoul and Busan, from which the cars take their inspiration. The two tailor-made cars are as individual as the cities they represent: flying the flag for Seoul in national colours is the world’s foremost business sedan Rolls-Royce Ghost, whilst for the southeastern metropolis of Busan the canvas is the ultimate Grand Tourer Rolls-Royce Wraith, playing to the leisure-orientated lifestyle of the coastal city. Seoul has been home to Rolls-Royce since 2004, with the…

Rolls-Royce at Dubai International Motor Show The Dubai International Motor Show is providing Rolls-Royce Motor Cars with yet another opportunity to showcase it’s talents, demonstrating once again that it is the undisputed leader in Bespoke Luxury Motoring. A quartet of vehicles are on show, each bringing something of note. There is the new Dawn, described by some as ‘the sexiest Rolls-Royce ever made’, the fabulous looking Phantom Coupé Tiger, the imaginative Ghost Golf and the ground breaking ‘Inspired by Music’ Wraith. Rolls-Royce Dawn Starting with the car of the moment, the Dawn gets it’s first public outing in this part of the world. Described by Rolls-Royce as ‘the only true modern four-seater, super-luxury drophead’, due to the ‘no compromise’ approach taken to designing a drophead that in no way would compromise passenger comfort, the Dawn is on display in a stunning combination of Midnight…

Rolls-Royce – Goodwood Celebrations

Rolls-Royce – Goodwood Celebrations

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars celebrated a record Goodwood Revival recently. The manufacturer of the ‘Best Cars in the World’ welcomed customers, both current and potential, and VIPs and also entertained thousands of visitors to the world’s most popular historic motor race meeting in true Rolls-Royce style. The Rolls-Royce Radford building at the March Motor Works – this year titled ‘March Mews SW1’ – presented an appropriate tribute to the ‘Finishing Shop’ of Harold Radford (Coachbuilders) Limited, South Kensington. Harold Radford & Co Limited were long-established retailers of Rolls-Royce motor cars who, under G H Radford, developed a bespoke coachbuilding business in the late 1940s named Harold Radford (Coachbuilders) Limited. The coachbuilding business became synonymous with amendments to suit the rural lifestyle of the landed gentry, developing their ‘Countryman’ range of conversions to Rolls-Royce motor cars. A ‘new’ Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud was displayed in the ‘Finishing…

A Royce drives a Rolls! – ‘Even the birds barley flinched as we passed!’

The recent Rolls-Royce Edinburgh event at Pittormie Castle offered those interested in becoming owners of one of these fabulous vehicles the opportunity to come along for the day and experience a selection of models first hand.  Several models were available to test, including a Phantom saloon, three Ghosts and three Wraiths.  Following a wonderful day, with plenty of sunshine, I had the opportunity to speak with one of the attendees, who, as well as having a very appropriate name, was experiencing driving a Rolls-Royce for the first time.  Royce Clark, owner of Grampian Furnishers, very kindly took time out to answer a few questions about the day and Rolls-Royce cars. Me – Hi Royce.  I’m glad you could make it today and thank you for agreeing to answer a few questions. Can I start by asking what was your perception of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars prior…
