THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE BLACK BADGE STORY DAWNS

THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE BLACK BADGE STORY DAWNS “Black Badge is for those driven by the same restless spirit that propelled company forefather C.S Rolls’ exploration of the limitations of powered land and air travel. It is an alter-ego for our marque that captivates the disrupters, the innovators and those that accept no limitations. Standing as a truly Bespoke response to the desires of a new breed of entrepreneur, Black Badge has already distinctly amplified the characters’ of Ghost and Wraith motor cars, placing them into consciousness of those that seek a commanding presence in the objects they commission. Overwhelming demand from new patrons of luxury tells us the time is now right to apply this assertive, confident and powerful attitude to Dawn and open this truly transformative presence to the world.” Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars At the Geneva…

The Phantom Coupe – Destined For Greatness?

The Phantom Coupe – Destined For Greatness? “As we begin to write a bold new chapter in Rolls-Royce history, I am delighted to present a Bespoke Collection that so elegantly celebrates two of the world’s rarest and most celebrated luxury goods; Phantom Drophead Coupé and Phantom Coupé. Phantom Zenith Collection motor cars speak of the marque’s unrelenting commitment to setting and advancing the standard by which all other luxury goods are judged.” Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. On January 1 2003, the first example of the seventh generation Phantom was handed over to its privileged new owner at Goodwood, the then new home of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.  After a number of years in somewhat of an automotive wilderness, new ownership and the new Phantom had once again established Rolls-Royce’s status as maker of the ‘Best Car in the World’. Following on, some…

A Royce drives a Rolls! – ‘Even the birds barley flinched as we passed!’

The recent Rolls-Royce Edinburgh event at Pittormie Castle offered those interested in becoming owners of one of these fabulous vehicles the opportunity to come along for the day and experience a selection of models first hand.  Several models were available to test, including a Phantom saloon, three Ghosts and three Wraiths.  Following a wonderful day, with plenty of sunshine, I had the opportunity to speak with one of the attendees, who, as well as having a very appropriate name, was experiencing driving a Rolls-Royce for the first time.  Royce Clark, owner of Grampian Furnishers, very kindly took time out to answer a few questions about the day and Rolls-Royce cars. Me – Hi Royce.  I’m glad you could make it today and thank you for agreeing to answer a few questions. Can I start by asking what was your perception of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars prior…

Pittormie Castle Plays Host to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars for a Very Special Day.

Whenever a group of men gather and begin casual conversation, the subject soon focusses on moments of glory, both past and present. Whether it be some great sporting event that they witnessed, such as ‘their’ team lifting the trophy, ‘it was fantastic, the atmosphere was unbelievable – best moment of my life’, or maybe a rock concert of legendary status they attended that somehow ranks theirs a higher status than everyone else’s musical adventures.
